Purpose of the role
To provide strategic and operational leadership across the school, ensuring consistently high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour, and outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operational management of the school, acting as Headteacher when required
Drive and monitor the quality of teaching and learning across departments
Oversee curriculum design, implementation, and impact
Line manage Assistant Headteachers and key middle leaders
Lead whole-school improvement priorities in line with the School Development Plan
Contribute to safeguarding, behaviour, and attendance strategies
Represent the school with governors, external agencies, and parents as required
Purpose of the role
To secure consistently high-quality teaching through effective professional development, coaching, and assessment practice.
Key responsibilities
Lead on teaching and learning strategy across the school
Design and deliver CPD aligned to school priorities and evidence-based practice
Implement and quality-assure instructional coaching
Oversee assessment principles, marking, and feedback practices
Lead ECT induction and ITT provision, ensuring statutory compliance
Monitor teaching quality through observations, learning walks, and work scrutiny
Support middle leaders to improve classroom practice within their teams
Purpose of the role
To establish a calm, safe, and purposeful learning environment where high expectations and positive relationships drive student success.
Key responsibilities
Lead whole-school behaviour systems and routines
Monitor and improve attendance, punctuality, and persistent absence
Oversee internal and external exclusions and reintegration processes
Develop and manage pastoral structures, including Heads of Year
Lead on student wellbeing and mental health support
Work closely with families, external agencies, and safeguarding leads
Use behaviour and attendance data to inform interventions and policy
Purpose of the role
To ensure inclusive practice and high-quality provision for students with SEND and other vulnerable learners.
Key responsibilities
Lead SEND provision across the school (including EHCP processes)
Ensure statutory compliance and effective liaison with local authorities
Oversee alternative provision and personalised pathways
Support staff to embed inclusive classroom practice
Monitor progress and wellbeing of vulnerable groups
Work closely with families, external professionals, and support services
Contribute to whole-school strategies for equity and inclusion
Purpose of the role
To raise student outcomes through rigorous analysis, tracking, and targeted intervention.
Key responsibilities
Lead on whole-school data analysis and progress tracking
Oversee assessment cycles and reporting to stakeholders
Identify underperformance and coordinate timely interventions
Monitor the impact of interventions and adjust strategies accordingly
Lead on exam outcomes, analysis, and post-results evaluation
Support middle leaders to use data effectively to improve outcomes
Contribute to performance reporting for governors and Ofsted
