We actively promote the following fundamental British Values:

Democracy

Students are encouraged to have a voice and to contribute to decision-making within the Academy. This is achieved through student leadership opportunities, school councils, tutor discussions, and consultation activities. Students learn to respect the democratic process and understand how their views can influence change.

The Rule of Law

We help students understand the importance of rules, laws, and responsibility. Clear expectations, consistent behaviour policies, and restorative approaches enable students to recognise the difference between right and wrong, both within school and in wider society. Visits from external agencies and links to real-world contexts reinforce this understanding.

Individual Liberty

At Stonebridge Academy, students are supported to develop self-confidence, independence, and resilience. They are encouraged to make informed choices, express their views respectfully, and take responsibility for their actions in a safe and supportive environment.

Mutual Respect
